About

Hi, I'm glad you are here, you are one step closer to a deeper understanding on addictions and mental health. I have 14 years of sobriety, practicing with others in healing endeavors through phychoeducation of the mind, body, emotion, and spiritual practices.

Many have stated, "I don't know what's wrong with me/him/her". It's unknown sometimes when these words are expressed. Loss and grief surfaces when we are trying to help.

Substance abuse affects one's cognitive functioning in micro-formation.  Unaware we may have disowned our important emotional and behavioral changes, ultimately leading to mental health and neurological problems with loved ones. A disease of the brain may not appear as obvious and may suddenly cause family turbulence and mental health changes.

My focus is delivering personalized psycho-educational care that centres with the unique experiences of each individual.  I utilize popular and scientifically evaluated therapeutic techniques such as CBT that empower recovery and growth.

Whether recovery and mental awareness is for you or your family, I apply an empathetic holistic and client centred approach, sometimes co-author alongside, while integrating expertise throughout the intake, assessment, treatment plan and closing approach.

I hold a B.A in Psychology from the University of Manitoba, including two-year didactic and clinical training for children and youth in addictions and mental health through Shared Health and MATC, accompanied with a governing body by the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation practicing designation as a Certified Indigenous Addictions Counsellor. CACCF is dedicated to safe practices for all professional addiction counsellors, and a graduate student at Kelowna College B.C, specializing in Psychotherapy.

My education and training reinforced my commitment to evidence-based treatments which give me the ability to impact the lives of many facing mental health and addiction challenges.
